Florida is a pretty big state, where are you going to be?
There are lots of things to do in Orlando
Here's a list of some of the attractions:
Disney Parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom
Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure
SeaWorld and Discovery Cove
Cypress Gardens
Gatorland
Pleasure Island (Adults)
Ripley's Believe it or Not
Busch Gardens and Adventure Island are in Tampa, about an hour away
Old Town in Kissimmee
WATER PARKS - Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Wet 'n Wild, Adventure Island

Where in Florida are you going to be?
In the Sarasota area there are lots of things to see!
If you like musuems you should check out the John Ringling home & Circus musuem. It's awsome! I went there this summer.

Of course Sea World is a great place to go too! The Pets Ahoy ,Shamu, Seals & Sea Otter and the Dolphin Shows are all really good.

Depends on if you are going to come with children. Most of the great stuff is in the area of Tampa-Orlando-Daytona Beach belt.
This also includes Cape Canaveral and NASA. For a quiet day of strolling around a quaint Victorian style town, I suggest Mt. Dora, in central Florida. (Look it up on the web), Weather will be cooler, and hurricane season is done, beaches are great, so enjoy.....
