Would a kimono top look good with a thick belt?

I'm wearing a kimono that has a thin band of elastic around the waist and was thinking of pairing a dressy, thick, black belt with it. Would this look okay??

ya usually wide belts look cute with kimono. so go for it.

The belt should match the Kimono. Wide is better than what you described.
