I have also heard that the birth control pill yaz will help. also talk to your Dr. about antibiotics-oral(pills)or topical like Differin.
My daughter(15, same problem)has been using all kinds of over the counter products and we have found that anything with salicylic(sp) acid actually makes it worse and irritates it. There is a anti-bacterial cleanser from Clean&Clear that doesn't over dry , persa -gel for treating the spots. Lots of water and sleep will help too.

I watched a tv show at discovery channel. It was about healthy skin and food. Two girls were given two different kind of diets for a week, one healthy and the other junk food. Neither of the girls got bad skin afterwards. The experiment showed that break outs come to your body when you are stressed, so I think theres your answer. I got very stressed when Im on my days before or during my periods. And my skin gets ver bad. So I'been trying excersising before and during my periods. That has been working, try it!

I used to get very bad acne with my periods. The doctor but me on topical steroid creams, anti-biotics and even the pill. The pill did help to a certain degree, but I started taking Evening Primrose Oil and that has really helped. I get mine from my local Asda at £3.50 for 90 1-a-day capsules they're not expensive either. Try this if you don't get results from conventional medicine.

Hi sarah. I am 33 and still get bad outbreaks of spots around my period. I get them on my face, chest, back and the tops of my arms. It is a nightmare. The best thing to do is go on the pill. I found that that really helped and drink loads of water to flush out toxins.

Hi Sarah
Yes you can go ask your Doctor to put you on the pill, this usually helps to clear up your skin. Also the sunbeds (heat) helps. Good Luck to you

well i think those are part of the premenstrual syndrome..your body reacts like that for the hormonal changes..i believe what you can do if you have breakouts during those times just make it sure you dont prick them for it not to get infected resulting to scars. if you are experiencing dry skin just drink a lot of water and apply lotion and facial moisturizer often

This is perfectly normal. Your skin breaks out due to your fluctuating hormones. There's not much you can do about it.

I have this problem, too. Stay away from chocolate, keep your face clean, drink lots of water, and visit a dermatoligist if neccessary.
