Yes! It is high time and overdue.
"The illusion of freedom [in America] will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."
Frank Zappa, musician and cultural iconoclast

We 'overthrow' our government all the time... through the legal and rightful means of a vote. If you don't like the government, go to the polls on Tuesday. If you don't like the results, run yourself, or support candidates who share your views. You can help them with a donation of time, or money. Yet to indicate we need a revolution of some sort is ridiculous. If you think the form of democracy we practice in the US is troublesome, I suggest you live in another country for an extended period of time (which I have done and am currently doing).

When the U.S. was first created, it was suggested that every decade or so the existing government should be wiped out, and a new one started. It's part of the right to bear arms part of the Constitution.
However, good luck going up against a military the size of the one in the U.S. Regardless of it might be time for such action, the aftermath would be unthinkable.

I've been waiting for the revolution for awhile now
BTW the CIA and the US help overthrow governments all the time, in the name of democracy.

Overthrowing a govt. is not a very democratic way of establishing democracy. Try voting them out.

This decision depends on a lot of factors, namely - 1- the level of socio-political and economic consciousness of majority of the people (from various sectors) and their willingness to support the cause and accept these transitional remedies; 2- the degree of "maturity" or preparedness of the alternative system and structure that will form the transitional government while the revolutionary process is in progress; and 3- the availability of resources and the means to sustain and support this process.

i dont think we need ot overthrow the government, i just think we really REALLY need to get bush out of office he is the reason this country is all going down hill. granted not everything is his fault but this whole "war against terrorism" is BS!!! The only people/person we should be at with is bin laden. but then when u think about it, it's all our fault we gave him the weapons and knowledge he has thats why we havent been able to find him, we pretty much trained him! WTF is that all about. this whole country needs to go to hell, and stop wasting our money helping other countries when we cant even help ourself's!

You must be in Iraq! You can't be in the U.S. because your question indicates you are not under a legitimate democracy now... which we currently DO have here in the U.S.

A democracy won't work in a country of this size. Only a republic or monarchy could possibly hope to work.
