I would suggest appling at companies with more that 50 people because they have eeoc reporting to do. Once you get there work your butt off to let them know how capable women are. I work for a construction company (in the hr dept.)
I know Minnesota has a program to train women in the construction field. Check out: http://www.womenworking.org/story.htm
Good Luck, e-mail me if you get a job. I would love to hear about it.

Electrical is the best way to go, is not as difficult(physically) than other jobs. As a Project Manager for an Electrical company, i preffer to work with women, they are more organized then most men. I currently have 2 women as foremens and they are on my top list! if you want to get started try looking into some unions, thats the easiest way to get in! good luck
