Tell him you like him and be honest but don't be in his face. if he doesn't see you that way be understanding and drop the subject. You never know how he will react, and you never know what could happen. Just be positive and it should turn out ok.

lindsay,is he your longtime friend?if he is...i think he only wants your company.or we can think that he is only waiting for the right time to tell you "i love you".but if you really like him....do the first move.i'm not telling to you seduce him cause he might be an old fashion guy.invite him to a place in which both of you can relax and chat intimately.say , watching the sunset or at the river side.if still not working...ask him !!!!!
