I am making a poster for my childrens' school and I want it to look spectacular! The poster will have a quote in regards to gratitude on it. What are some ideas to make it look fantastic?

Hello people!!! I said it's for a kids school, but it's a quote and supposed to look - well, I don't know... But not like a cartoon or nickeloneon! I just want some ideas to maybe add some graphics, types of graphics or some sort of picture that reminds you of gratitude or thankfulness.

Have a title. "What is Gratitude?" Have a picture of 2 children, one having done something such as broken his crayon, droppped his ice cream or such as that. Have the other child offering his crayons, or ice cream, ect. to the unfortunate child. Draw a balloon, from the unfortunate child saying thank you. I hope this has been of some help. Good Luck!!!

Looks like you have the same problem most every one has when faced with having to come up with something original ,,,, It's called Writers Block ,,,, If the question of subject matter is open ,,,,, You might want to consider a poster on something concerning our gratitude towards the troops that are serving in foreign countries no matter where it might be or when they served ,,,, The pictorial could be anything covering anything from the Korean war or earlier through and up to today ,,,,, The quote could be something along the lines of ,,,,, "Our gratitude for those that sacrifice willingly to maintain a peaceful home land for others ,, Any Time ,, Any Where " ,,,,Something depicting the history of gratitude or something of that nature ,,,, Let the pictorial you put on the poster be a guide or inspiration to what you want to say in the quote ,,,, Hope this helps ,,,,

First of all , what kind of materials do you have on hand? There are plenty of things you can do to make the poster truly a stand-out.
Cut some pictures from maganzines that illustrate the concept of gratitude--someone helping someone else. Perhaps get a quote from the film PAY IT FORWARD, where in response to receiving a kindness, the person receiving it should do a kindness to three other people.
Create a collage of pictures showing kind acts. Kids love bold pictures and bright colors,so go with that.
Buy glitter glue and put some on the art. Add a poem

Here is one you can add to your poster...

You saw I was hurt
you took my sad heart and hugged it
and made it better
and now my heart is here for you
anytime

I hope that this helps...
