well it a very large indian city and is surrounded by water limiting its expansion.

Because it is in India and they have more people than they know what to do with. 1.08 Billion!!!!!, this number will only go up and India will become more densly populated, environmentally degregated, socially stratified, and economically challenged. Mumbai (Bombay) is one of the nicer cities amongst the spralling slums known as New Delhi, Chennai (Madras), and Kolkata (Calcutta).
