I started my period last the afternoon of Oct. 1. For most of my life, I am exactly every 28 days. In the last few years, I sometimes have light bleeding on day 25, and then my full period comes on day 28. So I'm pretty regular. I have had very light spotting (only occasionally- like once every other day) for the last three days, but it's not like my usual spotting. It's so light I wouldn't call it spotting at all. I had unprotected sex on my two days after I started ovulating (I got the days mixed up), but he pulled out (not that that matters, I guess). I have been really tired (falling asleep at like 10, when I usually stay up until 1 a.m. or later), and somewhat nauseated in the mid-morning. I am also really broken out (my skin), and I've been thinking about babies a lot. (unusual, for me). What are the odds I'm just late b/c I'm stressed? (has never happened before...) I'm not on birth control. I'm 22 and healthy. Pregnancy test last night (after drinking too much water) was neg.

I am four days late. I have had some very light, very infrequent (almost not even detectable) yellow/brown spotting. Normally, I spot heavily (for spotting, anyway) about 25 days after my last period. That spotting lasts for three days, and on day 28, my period is heavy. I am on day 32, and I don't have a fraction of the spotting I usually have on day 25. Usually by day 28, my period is HEAVY. Now I've got nothing, on day 32.

So how long ago did you have the unprotected sex? You can get pregnant from the pull-out method. Alos, how late are you this period? You might be pregnant, but you may not be...if I understand what you typed correctly, you would only be about 2 weeks pregnant, and that is too early to be having the symptoms that you say you have. However, you are not on birth control and even if you have had protected sex prior to this experience (within the last few weeks, or month or two), you may be pregnant from that. Condoms are not 100% effective, but used with a female contraceptive, they are much more effeceint. I would suggest not flooding your system with water before you take a pregnany test, that way you can get an accurate result, but then again, it may still be too early to tell. I would suggest going to your OB/GYN for a blood test. Also, just a little FYI, every womans pregnancy is different, but how I knew I was pregnant was when I woke up one morning and my boobs were hard as rocks and so sore, plus I had a little bulge in my abdomen that had never been there before...the acne problems and tiredness usually come later in the first trimester. Good Luck.

Some tests actually tell you not to drink alot of water before you take the test. If you know you drank too much water then it definately would. Try waiting a few more days and seeing what happens with your period comming then test again. Stress can cause nausea, breaking out and a missed or late period.

I would advise you see your doctor right away. Over the counter tests may not show until after 1 mth of missed period. I would also advise getting checked for STD just to be safe. Pregnancy symptoms don't just start right away, some develop after the first few months.

It could be just stress but anytime you go irregular, it's a good idea to see your physician and make sure nothing is wrong. Best luck.

same boat i'm in. but only thing is that I'm 2 weeks late. But the test was negative. It could be just stress. Are you a college student? It could be that your stressed cause you realize that the semester is almost over and finals are coming up. that's what I'm realizing. So I'm hoping for the both of us that it is just stress. BUt as I said for you. You should definately take another test, but take it in the early morning when you first get out of bed, that is when your hormones are at peak level. That's what I've read on several tests..OTher than that, if you are pregant, than I wish you the best with whatever decision you make. Hope this helped

I am pregnant - this is my 5th pregnancy and those sound alot like early pregnancy symptoms to me. Do you have to pee alot, tender breasts, sensitive to smells??? Those are also symptoms that often occur in early pregnancy. Try taking another test first thing in the morning - before you have went pee or had anything to drink. You can also have your Doc do a blood test, which are more accurate and will show a positive result much sooner.
Good luck!

When i was pregnant I took a test (not digital) and it was VERY hard to tell if it was positive. I took a digital and it was neg. But.. I WAS PREGNANT!! If you read the instructions, it says not to drink exessively before taking the test. It may screw up the results!! just go to the doctor to make sure!!! If you are pregnant, the sooner you get seen by a doctor, the better!!! Dont be like me, i waited 3 months!!!

The test probably didn't register because your urine was too diluted with the water. Try another test with your first pee in the morning since the urine is more concentrated then. The symptoms you describe like spotting, acne, tiredness, nausea are classic early symptoms. Best wishes.

There is always a chance. But the best thing to do for the time being is relax and wait until your next cycle is due, or five days before and then test. Good luck!

Some pregnancy tests wont register a pregnancy for a good week after your period is due.

You could very well be pregnant!!!
