It wasn't just Hindu, native Americans used it too, but now, it is too ingrained in people's minds as a symbol of hate.

Why would you want to wear one in the first place ,,,,,, The last thing in history the swastika represented was the German armed forces of WW II ,,,, And the cruelty and bigotry perpetrated or displayed by these totally mad people ,,,, It represents the most horrible perversions ever conceived by man ,,,, This symbol might have been worn by people at other times in history prior to the rise of Nazi Germany ,,,, but it's still the stigma that is placed on it today by what the Germans did during their reign of power that is still recognized ,,,, AND ALWAYS WILL BE ,,,,, This symbol will never again represent ,,,,(as you put it) ,,,, the peace loving sign you claim it once was ,,,,, Anyone wearing this symbol today just advertises their level of mental function ,,,, and what it represents ,,,, But if you want to advertise yourself as being that kind of person with the same mentality then by all means wear it ,,,, It's a free country ,,,, The very same country that in the past Americans fought and died for against what that symbol represents ,,,,And still represents yet today ,,,,,

If you look anything like your avatar, chances are the symbol would open up a lot of discussion--they'd want to know why somebody who clearly does not fit the bill of nazi would be wearing something like that. That's a good opportunity to explain what the symbol really does and has meant to several cultures throughout the world before being hijacked by Germany in the 1930's.

I wouldn't get it tattooed, though. Too many people just wouldn't get it and would take it the wrong way.

I think that wearing it in the way that you are is a good thing. It is a 3000 year old symbol that means far more than we see it as today. But maybe reinvent it a little to let people know you are trying to change it back to its original meaning so no one gets confused or offended.

Yep, it would definitely be taken in the wrong way. Unfortunately, the National Socialist party of 1940s Germany ruined this ancient symbol of peace for the world.

It would take more than you to change people's perception of the swastika. I guarantee the point you are trying to get across would not get across. You would probably get your a$$ beat.

I would spit on you and kick your ass if I saw you. I would imagine anyone else who came across you except white supremacits, neo-nazis and mel gibson would kick your ass as well.
