Next week would have been the 80th birthday of the legendary actress.

But did she really died of an overdose or was she mudered?

There have been many theories concerning how she met her untimely death.

Did she take her own life?
Was it an accident?
Was it manslaughter?
Was it the Kennedy's
Was it the FBI?
Was it the mafia?
Was it Fidel Castro?
Was it right wing nationalists?

My question is, who killed Marilyn Monroe?

OK firstly next week is not Marilyn Monroe's birthday, as Norma Jean Baker(mortenson) was born 1st June 1926 and died 5Th August 1962 in her brentwood home CA, so in fact her 80th has been and gone hence why her films were released to commemorate her 80th

There have been rumours abound of the death of Marilyn, was she killed because of her involvement with the Kennedy's;s or with the Mafia, The Ambulance wasn't phoned whilst she was alive, the house keeper heard noises, was it suicide? was it accidental? because her use of drugs, to calm her, pick her up she took an overdose, the same has been levelled for many years not only to Marilyn but to Elvis Presley and Diana the Princess of Wales, we will never know the truth about Marilyn and Diana and people will still believe Elvis is still alive

The question should be did anyone kill Marilyn Monroe?

I've read a lot about this - this is what I think happened.

She overdosed on sleeping pills and booze and called Peter Lawson for help (something she'd done before). He turned up with his brother-in-law Robert Kennedy (JFK's brother and attorney general) with whom she was having an affair.

She died when they were there, and there were enormous efforts to hide the presence in her home of Kennedy - which would have caused a gigantic, hugely damaging scandal (imagine if Angelina Jolie died and George Bush was found with her, that's the level of the potential scandal).

I don't think she was murdered, but it's highly likely that there was a cover-up/conspiracy to hide the exact circumstances of her death.

The Mafia? Fidel Castro??? Wow...that's a wild scenario. Yes, she was screwing around with the President and his brother. And I'm sure she knew more than the average American about a lot of things. And, her diary did come up missing after her death. But really...her diary was only a speculation. There was never any proof of a diary to begin with. The only thing that was for certain that was 'odd' was the fact that the barbiturates she took to "commit suicide" were inserted rectally...anyone else committing suicide by narcotic takes them orally or intravenously. Almost *no one* shoves them up their behind. Marilyn died when I was 2 yrs old I've heard about this all of my life. There have been so amny conspiracy theories that my head spins. One thing for sure, Bobby Kennedy wouldn't have done this. They would have hired a thug to do it. He wouldn't have got his own hands dirty. And if anyone was behind it, it would have been Joseph Kennedy, the father. That was one ruthless, brutal man...

I believe that JFK and Marilyn shared sensitive pillow talk. She could have been considered a risk to national security knowing the things she knew if she decided to hold "something" over JFK.

I think if this was the case..then a decision was made by the Kennedy's to eliminate the risk.

Apparently, there were no drugs in her stomach which led to the conclusion that she was given massive amounts of diazepam, administered rectally...eliminating her chances of being resuscitated should the medics pump her stomach.

Bless!!! She didn't have a chance did she?

She was killed by a woman who coincidentally had the same name as the victim: Marilyn Monroe!! She killed herself accidentally of course. I don't think she intentionally committed suicide, I think her depression and failed romances caused her to overdose on sleeping pills. As of today's date there is NO hard evidence that ANYONE was involved in her death besides her. Theories abound but NO hard evidence. If there IS any hard evidence people talk of, ask them to produce it. They won't.

Incidentally, the term "suicide blonde" refers to Marilyn Monroe but NOT for the reasons people erroneously assume. Here is how that term refers to Marilyn. If a girl dyes her OWN hair (or bleaches it) herself and does a mediocre job she is said to be a suicide blonde. Meaning--She dyed (died) by her own hand. Pretty clever, huh?

You forgot Sam Giacone...but I don't think he did it. I think people working for the Kennedy's killed Marilyn Munroe. So many books, so many theory's. She was a smart woman who wanted to please. She took notes all the time so she wouldn't forget things, I think she took notes about the wrong thing. Just my conspiracy theory...too many weird things to cover up a suicide....

I've always thought it had something to do with the Kennedy's. No one, of course, has ever been able to prove that. So, I'll just stick with the OD'd for now.
