I don't believe that even if the Dem's win control of both houses of Congress that they will increase taxes. First of all, in order for a bill to become law either the President must sign it into law or veto it. If a bill is vetoed, the only way it can become law is if Congress overrides the veto. A veto in the House requires a minimum of 290 votes, and in the Senate it requires a minimum of 67 votes. There is no way that the Dem's will control anywhere that many seats in either house.

That may be true, but $2,900 is a hell of a lot cheaper than paying for illegal wars started by the Republicans that we have absolutely no exit strategy for.
What's Iraq costing us now? $50 million per day? More?
Thanks for the heads up on taxes, but I'll take improvements in our roads and social services for under $3 grand instead of a Multi-Billion dollar unwinnable war in Iraq, so I will be voting the Republicans OUT of office. :)

Do you know that state services (like the DMV and courts) have raised fees to counteract the fact that less money from the Federal Government goes to the states, other than in pork-barrel spending? Think "Bridge to Nowhere". Do you know Geoge Bush hasn't vetoed one pork barrel spending bill? There's fiscal conservatism at work. Actually, the only bill he has vetoed was for stem cell research. I think its funny that Republicans are so determined to keep Democrats from getting what they want that they don't notice they're not getting what they want either!

Did YOU know that the increase to our GNP rate is higher than the increase to our budget deficit, and that this means the result is a net decrease to our deficit?
Ex. If you make $50k a year and your debt is $5k, your debt is 10%. If next year your debt increases to $10k, but your salary jumps to $150k a year, your debt is only 6.7%... LESS than it was the previous year! You are BETTER off from this previous year.
