I like what I've read concerning libertairian's views. I just want to know when they consider a person to be a person that has the rights guarenteed by the Constitution. Is it at conception, birth, or some time between?

Thanks for the serious responses so far. For those who have indicated that rights apply when outside the woman's body, does that mean libertarians accept partial birth abortion techniques as the woman's prerogative.

The Libertarian view on abortion is a shaky one. Some Libertarians are for abortion, some arn't. Me. I am for it but only to a certain extent. I believe that during the embryo stage, because it isn't able to live outside the body, it is still part of the woman and should be allowed if wanted. But at the later stage when it is able to live outside the body, I believe it is a seperated individual, and should not be done. But that is my views many Libertarians don't view that. But we do believe that the decision should be made at a state level and not a federal one.

The thing is if this was a Libertarian governed country, it will all depend on what the State believes. That is if the State thinks partial birth abortion is wrong, then it would be illegal for that person to get a partial birth abortion. But because Libertarians believe that the govt, should not intrude into the Abortion Clinic's business, it would be hard for that to be enforced. I hope that makes sense. I think I'm confussing myself. (Alot of deletes.) But I really don't know how this would be taken.

If you really would like to know more about Libertarianism, email me at Chsel_06@yahoo.com. I don't know everything, but I'm pretty knowledgable about many issues and principles regarding Libertarianism.

The Libertarina Party has no official stance on abortion. Party members are split almost 50/50 pro-life/pro-choice. Some candidates have stated that until medical science can better define the point of individual life we cannot have an honest view of the topic.
As far as recognized by the Constitution, children after birth do not enjoy many of the rights that adults do, either. Young people can't vote, for example.

They define life the same way others do...when it is viable outside the mother. Their views regarding abortion are that it should be left up to the states. But they also believe in the right to privacy, and staying out of the doctor's office.

Birth, not until it is no longer using the female as a source of life is it it's own life form. It is part of the woman's body until birth.
