I am 17 weeks pregnant. I have to say that i dont feel as drained as i did in the first trimester and do have more energy in the daytime. However, me also being an insomniac am completely exhausted all of a sudden at 9.30pm. I usually go to bed at about 11pm but when asleep i will sleeps loads. I have to say that it makes a nice change from my troublesome imsomnia. I read that you are more tired in the first trimester cause your body is doing all the hard work of maintaining your baby and by the second trimester, the placenta starts to take over the hard work and so you may have more energy and the pregnancy glow! All the best, Alexa x

I am sometimes a ball of energy and some times still very tired, but for the most part much more energetic. I have been this way since about 14-15 weeks.

The beginning of my second trimester ws great with all three pregnancies, I didn't even feel like I was pregnant, then at the the end of the second trimestr you are starting to get bigger and tired again.

Around the 14th or 15th week you should start to have more energy...if you still feel just completely exhausted, you may be anemic..thats what happened to me...but your doctor should check that..and its no biggy if you are, you'll just take an iron supplement and feel lots better!
