Light from the sun is refracted( bent). Blue light (short wavelength) is refracted more than red (long wavelength). The violet part of the spectrum is absorbed in the upper atmosphere which is why the sky doesn't look purple.In the evening the sun is lower, the light travels to your eye with far less refraction therefor it looks red.

The sky is blue because it reflects the sea. Why is the sea blue? Because it reflects the sky. Its one of the things that truly cannot be made sense of.

there really is no such thing as color it's just the way the light reflects off your iris or cornea not sure which and makes it appear a certain *color* my science teacher told us that in like 6th grade I have no idea if it's true LOL =]
