I am seeking for single words that define and/or symbolizes "the very beginning of night" and "the end of night before dawn". What I mean is a word for when there is no longer any sign of sunlight on the horizon or any trace of it.

Since early birds (also known as larks) like to go to bed early and get up early and night owls like to go to bed late and stay in bed longer, a combination of these two types is a hummingbird. They can happily flit back and forth. I am a night owl by nature.

Evening is the period between dinner and bedtime.

Nightfall is the exact moment when there is no sun in the sky and it has fallen below the horizon - the moment when night falls!

Daybreak is the moment the sun breaks the horizon.
