Is 260,528KB of RAM a good amount or does it seem that I need more?

You would benefit from installing more. You need to open your computer to make sure you have the room. I would suggest at least 512MB of ram. It all depends on what you are using the computer for.

That equates to 256MB which is on the low end of what a computer needs to run windows xp. 512mb would be more reasonable depending on your computer set up ! Gig (1024MB) would work best.

If your running Windows XP you need at least a total of 512mb or even 1 GB (2*512mb) then it will run smoother and better..Thanks

depending on the machine, it could be adequate, but for current technology, that is not very much (only 260 meg) my home machine has 2 gig (2,000,000KB).
