Wat Tyler was a blacksmith in 1381. He organized an uprising for eight days with landholders, tradespeople and skilled workers in England. He and other rebels demanded an end of serfdom and low rental payment on freed lands. They also called for a repeal of labor laws. His attitude led to his being killed by the mayor of London.
