Dark skin is beautiful. Even the darkest of shades. I find it lovely, rich, and very precious. The society at large cannot dictate what is beautiful to me. I teach this to my children so that they will never let society or other races/cultures make them hate their skin or be ashamed of their heritage or their difference from the overall American majority, which is only their skin tone.
