Why are women told to wear abdominal belt after delivery/c-section? How does it benefit them? Can it be used otherwise also? Does it really help in preventing the sagging of stomach or reduce one's belly?

The Cesarean Section weakens the Natural bilateral link between the two sides of the abdominal wall. Till it is naturally restored through the healing process, the abdominal belt is a good protection to this vulnerable area of the women's body..Those who would like to use it for other reasons may include those with flabby abdomen or those suffering from frequent disturbances of the Large Intestine. The results are quite satisfactory.

It helps support the abdomen until the muscles heal. I don't think it helps reduce the size of the belly (didn't help mine, anyway). My doctor said to wear it as long as it was keeping me comfortable.

I think it personally helped keep things in place, inside
your body.
But my doctor says it helps heal things faster and prevents
you from getting a hernia.
I just remember it helping from that pulling feeling when u stand.

it is basically used to keep all the organs in one place and prevent a major shock, as they are weak and vulnerable after being shaken up in a surgery
