the only real difference I see is dicaprio is kind of a womaniser but what really annoyes me so much is just how he's overated

The magic of cinematic makeup can make almost anyone look somewhat like anyone else.
Ultimately when taken side by side as two individuals, with no help from a stylist, they only look similar in that they are two Caucasian guys of similar age.
Whilst ever we live in a world where stupid money is paid to pretty ordinary folks for flouncing around a film set - it will be posible for those folks to be 'womanisers' because there will always be women stupid or naive enough to 'fall for' (read: throw themselves at or, more kindly, 'make themselves sexually available to' without much protest) confident, rich, half decent looking guys...it is the way of the twisted world we have created for ourselves!
So don't just blame the guy...blame the whole media-manipulated-messed-up culture we have created!

Matt Damon crapped all over Minnie Driver by dumping her live on the Oprah Winfrey show, I've never forgiven him for that. That was a horrible thing to do to anyone.
I didn't think The Departed was much of a film. DiCaprio and Damon were okay in it, but it was far from Scorsese's best.
The casting of both actors and their physical similarities was intentional, to make them almost like twins, one good, one evil. There's even a scene where they're dressed the same with baseball caps and jackets. It's the old "two sides of the same coin" thing that John Woo does a lot of.

OK, I totally do NOT think that Matt Damon & Leo DiCaprio look alike at all. I am not sure what you are staring at. Matt is OK, but Leo is HOT.
I used to think that Leo was only OK, until just in this last couple of years where I thought he is really good looking. Yes, I know that I'm kinda late in discovering him, but I really did not think that he was that good looking before. He was only OK to me. But now that he is all mature and grown up - 32 years old, he is really attractive to me. He's a really good actor too! He will win an Oscar someday and soon too.

I agree that they look somewhat alike but I don't think Leonardo is overrated. I seen his films like The Aviator, Titanic, Gangs of New York , What's Eating Gilbert Grape as Arnie Grape and I thought that he played all of his roles brilliantly. I also think he was a very convincing drug addict in The Basketball Diaries. It is Matt Damon not Demon.

i HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THEY LOOK ALIKE AS WELL. Damon is the tougher version of DiCaprio. DiCaprio is a great actor.He is better and better every movie. He went back to acting school after Titanic. Give him credit. Damon has been in good flicks. Scrorceses movies are all good

They don't look at all alike. And DiCaprio is a very talented actor and actually a nice guy. So he's not at all "overrated".

they're not that similar. For one thing Leo has put on a bit of weight and Matt Damon is a way better actor and i agree that it is annoying how overrated leo is now. He was pretty good in his earlier films but now he's just not as good as other actors now.
