Hell yes we're cool. Embrace your band geekiness buddy, it means you have a talent that doesn't envolve beating someone over the head to get a ball or flashing your boobs around town...depending on whether you're a guy or girl I guess:)

i was in band all the way through high school. the people that call us geeks, or ork dorks, dont understand what music is all about

I'm in band, but in our school, all of the "well known" or "popular" people are in it. It's just the thing to do at our school.
