remarkable all round performance from Sri Lanka, and both pathetic performance from the Indians-both with the bat and the ball. Indian batting order crumbled to airborne dirt and dust all throughout back, as Murli and Mendis claimed 3 wickets each and each and every. everyone became less than the effect that this youthful crew would do something different from our experienced attempt squad-yet no! that is the repetetion of an same batting disaster for India. crew were given replaced, yet result remained an same! It sounds like Indians are completely helpless adverse to Mendis. Even India's bowling attack couldn't furnish a danger to the Lankans. they have in basic terms managed to push aside 2 of the SL batsmen thus far, with Munaf Patel determining on up both the wickets. Now, it sounds like Sri Lanka would win by technique of 8 wickets! As per LG ICC ODI Rankings updated upto 02.11.2006, India is placed at No. 5 in the rankings with 110 Points. Though Pakistan also got 110 Points, they are placed at No. 4 in the rankings.

Indis is 5th in the ODIs(110 points) and 4 th in the tests(111 points). Pakistan are one above in the ODI's with 110 points as well and in the tests India is below Pakistan who are with 112 points
