are full of poo poo???? how can they REALLY care about STRANGERS? you cant pay people to care, base don my experiences w them so far.

I don't think they are paid to care. I think they analyze and supposedly treat mental illness. I have seen a couple of young people ruined by the meds prescribed by certain psychiatrists though. No, these guys didn't care.

I heard a professor say once that people who go into psychiatry do so to try and understand themselves, in other words, the crazies are drawn to psychiatry.
There is no reason though, why a psychiatrist would have to care or even like their patient any more than the grocery store owner has to care about or even like the people who shop there. It's a business transaction, nothing more.

You pay doctors to take care of you, don't you? They are strangers, right? A psychiatrist is a Dr. He has more training than a regular Dr. You sound like you need psychiatric help.

u don't have to pay ppl to care for them to care. when i hear someone with a problem, i wish i could help them and i don't know them. that just means they're caring. like me. i care about people, even strangers, and if i hear them or something, i wish i could help them. i'm very senstiive and a very good listener.

i know many dedicated Doctors from all medical specialties. And I know many Doctors that are jerks. Not hard to spot either. The ones that get my money are the ones that treat me like I am part of the treatment team.
