The email itself might be not really be from newegg. It is possible that it is a scam. I would go to the newegg web site for a contact phone # or email and contact them that way.

You might want to check it out. Newegg.com is a really good website where you can purchase electronics (mostly computers and computer components). If you have received an email from newegg.com stating that you have made a SERIOUS purchase (I mean 3,000 pounds is a lot of money), given that it was not you who spent that cash, you may want to get in touch with them and your credit card company... Again, if you have not made the purchase in the amount of 3,000 pounds (as you stated) you should look into it.

Newegg is a legit site- I've ordered a few thousand in various things from them and am always happy. The email sounds phishy though- I would def contact credit card company and newegg directly.

WHATEVER YOU DO- do not respond to any links in the email you recieved- go directly to the newegg site through your browser. Not through the email.

Newegg.com is a legit company but it sounds like someone has used your credit to purchase a computer or tv or something. Call your credit card company immediately to cancel the transaction.

Newegg is a computer shopping site.
I wouldn't doubt that the e-mail is fake, but I would call your credit card company and make sure.
Good luck!
