whats more exffective the pill or the implant birth control shot you get once a year

Both of them are above 98% effective... some of the best methods out there. However the shot is taken every 3 months, and the implant (Implanon) is put in every three years.

What you choose depends on your preference and what your doctor offers. The pill is harder to remember (although honestly, if you carry em with you and set an alarm on your watch it isn't rocket science). The shot is impossible to forget, but once you have it you are stuck with it for at least 3 months if you have bad side effects. Implanon is newish (in the US, anyway) and many doctors don't offer it yet.

I hear that the pill has a lot of side effects. But not haing to remember to take the pill is cool. I would recomend an iud if you have one partner.

Probably equal. The difference is that you have to remember to take the pill every day. Miss one or two and you might get pregnant.
