No morals or sense of responsibility. As parents we need to financially support out children, no matter how we feel about our ex. In this day he is crazy not to pay (a court ordered child support payment). He wont get away with it, it will effect his license, job, assets. If this is not court ordered, make sure you go through the right channels to do so. There should be a child support assistance program in your area. What ever you do, don't get in confrontation with him, as you cannot make him pay - it's not worth it. Use the channels out there (legal).

I know even if they don't have a job, they will have to "pay" by going to jail or getting their licenses suspended or taken away. BUT I think the only logical reason would be if the father is disabled. Even if he gets a part-time job he could at least help with a pair of shoes or something a month. And some men believe that the mother is not putting the money towards the child's needs. The father of my friend's baby has nearly 12 kids and pays child support. He has gotten checks with $0 from his employer. He is so far behind it isn't funny, and now she is having his baby...how smart was that?

Even if the father does not have a job, they still owe child support in most cases.
Cases where the might not?
Parental Rights terminated.
Disability prevents Father from working
Income too low (although there is always a mandatory minimum amount)
There may be some local state laws, but if there's a father, and there's a child, there will be child support.
Now, as to why a father would not want to support a child? It's too easy to say "scumbag," but aside from mental disability, it's usually just plain selfishness.

it would be an proper worldwide if no person became compelled to be a verify. yet those new child help & custody regulations have no longer something to do with what the father or mom needs. they are there fullyyt for the rights of the youngster. A verify can no longer waiver their rights b/c that's no longer their rights that are being preserved. that's the rights of the toddler that are being regarded after. It must be that way b/c adults have sentience to guard their rights. a new child does not. It does not make issues ok for the mothers and fathers. i understand men who've been lied to with reference to the lady being on beginning administration b/c she wanted a new child. There are men that sabotage the condom so they'd have a new child from a woman with particularly stable genetics. There are lady who're raped & do no longer accept as true with abortion. There are men taken great thing approximately in black-out drunkenness in hopes he will marry the mummy. maximum of issues that would bypass incorrect by risk or by using malicious objective. however the toddler shouldn't would desire to be the guy who will pay for the "sins"/blunders of the father or mom. Copulation may bring about toddlers. no longer something is fool data. Even vasectomies take it sluggish to alter into impotent (if no longer botched). i would be unable to even say in case you do no longer desire a new child then don't have intercourse b/c i've got already reported circumstances the place intercourse isn't consensual for the guy or the lady. Chalked up below the "existence's no longer user-friendly" column & undergo it via finding a love deep with your self to love a new child that had no decision in that's thought. (i do no longer mean you for my area. in basic terms all and sundry that reveals themselves in this place.)

Well denying to be the father is one reason.
the father of my friend's daughter denies being her father.
he has like over 10 kids!!! and like he did with the other women he had kids with he left after they got knocked up. he owes so much child support its not even funny.
they range from like 13 to maybe a few months old.
*her daughter is a year*
and if there isn't a court order or anything than some just don't see why they have to pay.
*she looks just like other kids of his...but won't go and get a DNA test done....so he doesn't have to pay....*

There are some men who don't like the fact of someone such as a judge telling them to pay so much weekly in child support payments. These type of men are called JERKS. I think they're selfish types who wants their money for their own things and they don't think of how that money can help their children to have things they don't necessarily want but need.

if its not the persons biological child in the first place, they don't have enough money to live themself, the court hasn't forced them to pay, they want to support the child not the mother and possibly her new boyfriend or husband, The court says they don't have to because the mother makes more then enough to raise the child or they are dead as to being handicapped as someone gave for a reason thats no excuse if it was nobody would pay child support ever

He a jerk, how's that for being serious? and, if you don't like that, try this.
Go to your local welfare office and explain the problem to them, tell them you need help and now. You can also go to the "friend of the court" office and explain the problem to them.
Least but not last. Get an attorney like we did. Within days, and after being locked up a few times, knowing he was going to be continued to get locked up, unless he started paying what he owed. Good Luck

The only one that I can think of would be that he is unemployed, in which case, a judge should set a different judgment. You already knew that. So why is the father not supporting his child? Likely, because he feels that he is supporting you and since he doesn't want to contribute at all to your support, he is withholding. Sounds like you need to appeal to legal authorities

i think in SOME instances the mother of these kids are using child support to "get back" and the fathers for not wanting to be with them...and using the money for things other than the childs expenses...im not saying its right...but i do know thats why some guys dont pay...
