I say go for it, as long as you can offer that child love and treat them as if they were your own regardless if they are the same race or a different race that is all that matters. People shouldn't be hung up on white, black, hispanic, asian or whatever your race may be, we are all just people with the same basic needs and emotions.

i think its a wonderful thing to adopt a child...every child deserves a better future...just make sure ur family and relatives are ok with this... the race might play a factor...its unfortunate but even in the present time some people arent as accepting to different races specially if it concerns adopting a child from a different race then your own...so its best to think about all these things and really take your time on deciding because this will make an enormous impact on the child's life..i hope everything works out :)

Good for you!! There's nothing wrong with that. All it takes is
TLC. Some people might think it is not a good Idea, but as
long as your there for the child, then what should it matter
what there back grounds is. We learn something everyday.
My grand-daughters are mixed race and this is my first two
in my family. They both have 3 different texture of the hair and
I had to learn how to comb the oldest hair. They both are
1/2 Mexican/American/25% African/American/ 25%White
And it's easy once you get the hang of thing. Children are so
easy to take care of no matter what race they are. They are
so adorable, fun, beautiful. Everything comes as natural as
having your own child at birth.

I see nothing wrong with it I am 52 years old and think if some one can offer love to a child, that child deserves their love. Race should not be a factor in today's world. Who care what color someone is or is not!!

I'm white and adopted my son who is mixed (black/white). I exposed him to the african american culture. It still bothered me that the rest of my family is all white - he said it did not bother him. A few years later I had the opportunity to adopt his biological sister who is also mixed. Now he's got someone else in the family who looks just like him!

i wouldn't do it just because many people including myself when we see that, i just think "oh that kid isn't really theres" i don't understand it though, there are so many kids in foster homes that need homes right here in the USA, my mother in law has 10 kids, 6 she adopted from our system! there are so many kids right here in America that need help, i don't get why all these celebrities feel like they need to go out of the country to adopt a child,
