My husband turns it off, or down. I turn it up cos I'm freezing, he'll sneakily turn it down then I sneakily turn it up. And so it goes on!

We once agreed what temp. it should be, but he never stuck to it so it's back to being sneaky again!!

If you are really sneaky and have some experience, buy a second thermostat and wire it to your furnace and set the temp there. Leave power to the old wall mounted thermostat and let him set it to his hearts content.

There is a low priced solution. You could buy a tiny oil filled electric heater and keep it next to you. It is portable, light, quiet, and very safe. This way you can keep the central thermostat at your husband's low setting and save on energy you use for heating and arguing. Good luck!

find that agreed temp leave it there and when temped to change it remind yourself that thermostat wars throw money out the window. i like programable thermostats. we agree temps for certain times of the day and only have to set it back if we know we'll be out of the house for a while.
