Don't concern yourself so much with "fat" or "chunky". We are all built different. My girlfriend and I weigh exactly the same but can't wear the same size clothes. Why? Because we are built differently and different things work for different body types. Instead, worry more about healthy! What do you eat? How much do you eat? Content and portion size is what should matter most. Pay attention to your HEALTH FIRST and the body will follow.... 125 lbs. is hardly close to being "fat" at 5' 3" !

I'm not sure what 8 stones and 13 pounds are. If you could let me know, I may be able to help.
Tips on losing, I cut back on my eating, only eating half of my normal amount. Then with exercise, not eating too late in the evening, and drinking lots of water. Those things helped me, don't know if it will help you - but you could try. Just be sensible. Good luck.

sweetie... You are right on track... i was 14 years old, 5'1'' and 130.... (given i was a little chunky) but now i am 18 years old, 5'2'' and 117... as far as losing wieght.. I would try eating SMALL ammounts 4 or 5 times a day versus the traditional 3 full meals a day (this will boost you metabolism) and also try excersis that targets your chunky zones... you don't really need to lose weight, probably like me you just need to tone the flabby muscle you have. good luck

When you're 13 and 14 and 15 your body changes a lot. You'll get wider, then taller, then wider, then taller - LOL - it never seems to happen at the same time. So keep active and try to eat healthy. Get up from the computer or video game and go outside and hike - don't eat a bunch of fast food. Maybe find a sport or go skating or biking and go do fun stuff with friends and you will be fine!

Your doctor can tell you your percentage of body fat and let you know if you are too fat. I am guessing you are probably ok.
However, you should try to stay healthy by eating the right foods in moderation and exercising.
There is a simple formula -- burn more calories than you eat and you will lose weight. Don't try to crash diet because that makes you body more efficient (can live with less calories) then when you go off of your crash diet, your body starts storing MORE fat to prepare for the next diet.

You're actually pretty normal. Jog about a mile everyday to turn some of the chunk into muscle and maintain a good diet.. NO SNACKS!

BMI Categories:
Underweight = <18.5
