It does not detach or have a built in ringer on it. Just a plain old brand new string mop. How can i keep it clean and not smelling bad.

After you are done mopping, fill your bucket/sink with bleach water and let it soak for 20 minutes.

If you have a place to hang it at so the air can get to all the strings it will dry faster and prevent the bacteria smell to grow

I lay mine on the back porch and allow the mop part to hand over the edge. Once it's completely dry then I store it.

good luck

Hi, I just bought a new one yesterday. the best way i have found is to rinse the mop out after using it in a light bleach solution, and then rinse again, so the bleach isn't too strong. Strong bleach solutions seem to cause the mop to wear out sooner. Happy cleaning!

You just need to sit down and talk to your husband about it, he needs to chip in a bit more. Maybe if you make dinner, he can load the dishwasher and clean the table while you give the kid a bath, or you can clean up and he can give the kid a bath. Just try to delegate responsibilities a bit more, offer the 7 yr old an allowance or a special something at the end of the week/month if he/she can take care of their own dirty clothes and put their dishes in the dishwasher when done and that'll help you out too.
