I think that is sweet...I think he loves you just like he said...but I think he is watching out for your feelings...a long distance relationship can be hard...Maybe he is also scared cause he just put his heart on his sleeve for you and that is a hard thing for a guy to do...Did you tell him you loved him?...maybe he is afraid that you don't share the same feelings for him?...Think about you feel for him...talk to him and tell him...and if you do have the same feelings for him and you think you can handle a long distance relationship...then tell him...otherwise, be careful...he told you what he feels...and I don't think he wants to lose you as friend...hope this helped some...good luck to you :)

maybe he does love you.... maybe he loves you just that much that he doesn't want a long distance relationship because they are very hard- trust me i did it (we worked out... but many don't) and it is very painful.
or maybe he loves you like a friend or a sister... unfortunately in the english language there's only one word for love, and it doesn't specify which kind....
You should try talking to him- calmly, not pressuring, and if he's not ready to talk about it give it some time and try again... step lightly though because close friendships can become very complicated when the L word comes in... (don't forget the word love scares many men off...) either way good luck.

Forget about it. He doesn't know what love is then. If you really truly love someone this would of never happened. Move on and go find someone that is true to their love. GOOD LUCK!

Ah I think it's cute. How far away are you from each other I think it could work if you could see each other on the weekends or something, you've managed to remain friends. You have to ask yourself do you like him?

There are many degrees of love. Perhaps he loves you like a friend and not like a girlfriend. I have many male friends who I 'love', but that's it. I wouldn't want anything more than that from them.
