Sub-question: Or are the folks on Yahoo just living in another country - hence the difference in cultures?

F.y.i., I live in Southeast Asia.

In my area, in my culture, people talk about work, food, children and material property. Boring (except for children, who are life's innovator's). But here on Yahoo, the hottest topics are sex and religion - and if you're lucky, politics! OK, it can get out of hand, but, hey, in theory, sex, religion and politics are always more interesting!

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - or culture difference?

(Note: I am always myself - just a little more extreme on Yahoo! LOL.)

Mainly cultural differences but some might show their hidden side on yahoo as they are animus. I think I may be more out spoken on yahoo than I would be generally. but still I only say what I believe. occasionally I can become irritated??

You can speak your mind on Yahoo....in the real world you have to practice good judgement, at least that is how I think

I think most people are probably the same in both places, but like everything else...you never know about people online :)

any anonymous forum can be an outlet to act differently.

I'm a better writer than speaker, so you'd find me a much more quiet person in real life.
