I'd want my parents to be there .. even if it was upsetting .. it shows them you still want their support ... I don't think it would make a difference with the judge if they were there or not .. but I think it might make a difference in your families life ... it shows them you still need them in your life .. no matter what happens family should always be there for each other ... good luck again with your sentencing ... !

It will not make any difference whatever to the sentence you receive. The best you can do is consistently express remorse for whatever you did. If they know you're sorry and unlikely to reoffend, you might have a chance of parole and some time off your sentence.
One thing I would say to you: NEVER EVER put your parents through this again. Once you come out of prison, be scrupulously honest for the rest of your life, otherwise you will hurt and shame those who love you and want the best for you. Try to use your time in prison constructively. If there are any courses you can do to learn a skill or anything, take it up. It might help you to make a life for yourself when you get your freedom back. And when you do get your freedom back, never let it go again.

Let them decide. You are their baby, and there is nothing they can really do for you at the moment. My brothers went to jail when they were 18 and it broke my mums heart. Whether they are there or not they will be gutted, and the judge will take no notice. Some times the solicitor will mention to the judge that your parents sre supporting you, but not always, and it certainly won't affect your sentence whether they are there or not.
Get on the straight and narrow, it is a better life in the end.

The sentencing judge will not base the length of your sentence on whether your parents are there or not. It will be upsetting for them if you go to prison whether they are there or not. Good luck, serve your time and then make it up to them over time.

If your parents come to support you in court don't you think that if they stand by you then you owe them.Think of the stress you have put them through and turn your life around.
