One of the nurses in the hospital 2 weeks ago when my daughter was born asked me, "who put her in there like that!?" My husband had put my daughter backward in her little nursery bed, you know that plastic & metal one on wheels? I said, "my husband did, why!?" She said it means we'll be back there in one year, meaning we'll be having another baby this time next year. That made our day, of course!! Even if it's just a myth. Have you heard that? What do you think?

Lol!

No I haven't heard this one either.

Our hospital also had the little cot thingies tilted so it wouldn't have been likely that our babies would have been put in backwards ...

lol, I just realised maybe that is why I have 5 years between my first two and then 8 years between the second and third!!!!!

The one wive's tale that I have heard and that has rung true for me is that if you have heartburn during your pregnancy (which I did for all three) that you will have a baby with a lot of hair ... AND I DID, all three times :-)

So do you think if you are back there in a year's time that you will put your next baby in backward???? :-)

I like that and good luck if its true :o)

I heard one the other day. My son is a little over three months old, and about two weeks ago I thought i was pregnant. I figured it was too soon to test, so I just sat on the idea for a while and didnt tell anyone besides my fiance. He was hoping that I was, mind you, lol. Me, not so much this soon.

But anyways, I started talking to an aunt of mine on the phone and I was telling her how huge my son was getting and that he was already teething and how tall and chubby he was and out of the blue she says, "Well you know that when a baby grows fast and ahead of others their age, he is only making room for the next one. This means you are going to have another soon." I nearly dropped the phone, lol.

Never heard of that. Our baby's nursery crib was tilted so that her head was elevated though, so I don't anyone would have put her in there backwards. The nurse that checked us out did say "See you next year" though. I just laughed and said "I don't think so."

I have never heard that the closest hing I have heard if you child does things early as an infant another one is soon to follow and that if babies stare at you you are pregnant.

Never heard of it, but I can see a bunch of infertile couples visiting the nursery.

It is cute.
