make some treats and make up giftbaskets. You can find baskets for cheap at second hand shops and charity shops. Then you buy tissue paper and fill the basket with hand made treats. Cookies, fudge, divinity, carmels, etc.

I don't know how handy you are or if you are into crafts.... fabric is cheap enough... I have made "lap quilts" ( a small quilt, big enough to cover your lap while watching tv or something). You can personalize it with fabric matching their hobbies or other interests.
