ok so in my history class, we have this assignment for next week to debate about this subject. ( if the elgin marbles of the parthenon should go back to greece and why) we're split into 2 teams of 5 and the reast are judges. im in the "affirmative" team! The problem is that i do not get along with my team (they are VERY VERY immature!) They also want to get together with the opposite team so that we discuss our thoughts so that we dont get surprised at what we wear during the debating in class. i told my team tat it would be a bad idea to get together with the other team but they wont listen! they thought that if they get together, it would help them get a better grade! what do you think i should cuz my team told us to meet in someone's house... but i dont know if i should czu they just dont take the whole situation seriously! the thing is, if i dont participate with them then i know its my loss!

Unfortunately, you should probably go along with your team. Make sure they know that you think it's a bad idea and go to the meeting thing, take notes, and dont really say anyhting.

I would talk to your teacher. Let him/her know what is going on and ask for help. that is what they are there for. and if your teacher says something about it to the class and the other kids seem to be mad at you, well then just be proud for doing the right thing. who cares what the other kids think. But I would really talk to your teacher.

the kids who are judges are lucky! lol. go with your group. believe me no matter what happens, it wont be a big deal in the grand scheme of things. promise!
