It's not the media per se - although the Daily Mail does have a lot to answer for - it's simply the fact that the terrorist atrocities in question may have been perpertrated by Muslims.
Same as when, back during the IRA's most active periods, they were referred to as 'Irish terrorists'.
Simple case of, if you're a terrorist and you're Muslim, you'll be called a Muslim terrorist.
Now - media outlets that refer to these people as 'Muslim Fundamentalists' on the other hand, they need to see the error of their ways.
Islam, as with most religions, is fundamentally a religion of peace. But, as with most religions, it can be misinterpreted and twisted to suit the wishes and needs of those who wish to justify their crimes and actions.
By the same token that not every Christian hangs around outside abortion clinics with a sniper rifle, so every Muslim is not a potential suicide bomber.
Thus, the more correct term would perhaps be 'Islamic Extremists'.
We all choose to either accept these stereotypes, ignore them, or do something positive to counteract them.

No disrespect intended, but it seems that all recent terrorists ARE radical muslims. The IRA had terrorists as well but they've been quiet for a while. The Puerto Ricans had the FLN (at least I think that was their title) but they, too, have not been active in recent years. Even Spain's basque separatists have done nothing really recently although I think they'd be the ones who come up with the most recent activity.
I will say it is sad that the larger community is often seen through the prism of a few radical extremists.

The biggest threat to people around the world at the moment comes from Muslim terrorists like Al Queda. That's a fact, so no wonder the media is focusing on them now. Of course, we all know that every Muslim is not a terrorist. Let's hope the world can get back to a pre-9/11 normality sometime and we can put all this behind us.

Terrorist have always existed with any extremist radical group at the moment it happens to be the Muslim Extremist this does not include all Muslims and most are peaceful.
Some of the Mosque's want to hold onto their power over the Muslim community they try to keep women in their place and refuse to even let them pray in the Mosques. I am sorry to say that at the moment it is these radical Muslim groups that are stirring up so much hatred in the world and brainwashing their youth.

In the past they have but now they all seem to be muslim scum bags.
It was the Irish but we beat them, now it is entirely down to a brainwashing religion hating the civilized world because our culture and civilization is superior.
It's jealousy because they live in the middle ages and still subjugate women were as the west have freedom of thought and equal rights for women.
Simple really, Islam is the retarded kid at school who tries to bully the more popular intelligent kids but can't so he puts worms in their sandwiches and pins on their seats.
You know how it ends, with Islam getting his head kicked in and being expelled and sent to a special school.

Yes, Muslim terrorists come in all races; Pakistani Muslim terrorists, Palestinian Muslim terrorists etc.
I think you may be confusing religion with nationality or ethnicity.
