I am due January 26,07. What date did I conceive??

Question

I went to a sonogram appt. on Oct. 25,06 and the doctor told me i was 26 weeks and 3 days pregnant. He also told me i was due on January 26,07. I have another sonogram appt. on the 20th of this month. My prenatal doctor had also calculated my due date to be expected on the 26th of January. My best guess on my last menstrual period would be at the end of April, but im not to sure. Anything else that will help just ask me. Thanks for everything!

Do know when your last menstrual period was? Because that pretty much determines it better than estimated delivery dates. If your last menstrual period was on the 1st of november and you have a 28 day cycle, then you probably conceived between the 14th and the 17-18th. Just an example; nothing is an exact science when it comes to conception, though.

You can't actually ever know exactly when you conceived. Even if there was only one time you had sex that could possibly be responsible, some strong sperm can live up 5 days in the vagina if conditions are right, so you might conceive later than you think.

That being said, if you want to fix a possible date, pregnancy is calculated as being 40 weeks (that's 266 days). This an average length, many babies of course arrive a bit before or after this. It's based on the idea that you probably conceived around 14 days from the first day of the last period you had, so you can make the maths much easier on yourself by working forwards from that date, rather than back from your due date!

If, however, you didn't know the date of the first day of your last period and got your due date from an ultrasound scan, then you should count back 38 weeks.

Where did you get that due date? Conception occurs about two weeks before your expected period. In a normal cycle that's about two weeks after your flow started.

May have been closer to the 13th of May, based on where the moon was (some women ovulate around the full moon, and it was full on the 13th of May).

But if you conceived on the 13th, your actual due date would also be 6 days later, so beginning of February.

Hi. Well all I can tell you is that what gender you have conceived is totally up to the male .. I have looked up all the gender sites and they will all say something different. As for my exp I am having a boy, but alot of the sites that I have looked up said a girl... So what I suggest is go w/ what you gut tells you w/ all 3 of my pregnancys I was having boys * AND I JUST NEW IT*.. + we had ultrasounds but that was after I new from my gut what I was having.. Ask yourself what do I think I am having??? Good Luck w/ the gender hope it is what your wanting..
