I've been tabbing a song out, but I reached a point where it sounds that the song goes beyond 21 frets and my guitar has 21. I found the sound to the song is near the first pickup, so how do I make it sound like a fret? I hope you understand what I'm talkin' about...

YES... Many electric guitars haev 22 and 24 frets (two full octiaves). If you have an electric guitar (like a Fender) that has a removeable neck (3 or 4 screws), you could simply buy a replaceemnt (tons on eBay).

If it is a guitar with a fixed neck (glued), you CANNOT add frets.

Many guitar manufacturers make 23 or 24 fret guitars. It just increases the length of the neck a bit. You can try and get the sound you are looking for playing pressing the string where you would expect the fret to be, but it's not going to be as pure as if you were fretting the note. However, you should still get it to the pitch you want. A guitarist named Tim Reynolds I've seen does this all the time and it sounds OK.

Theres normally 21,22, 24 fret models. There are even some "semi tone" guitars where partial frets are placed along the neck, you don't see much of that though. I don't know if this is what you're after , but i heard once about someone raising the front pickup (it has to have a chrome cover) and pushing the string against that to actually get a note out of it, which is a VERY uncommon technique, but hey! if it works.....

Yes. Plenty of guitars with 22 frets out there. You really can't add a fret. Unless you replace the neck which is not cheap.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure after a specific point the frets just repeat at a different octave?

perhaps this particular song is played on a special guitar or perhaps there is some sort of pedal that can achieve the effect you want.

The only way to get more than 21 frets is a custom guitar... being custom because the neck has to be longer than an average guitar.

PRS makes a 24 fret model.
Only way to add frets is to change the neck.
