Is it normal to bleed heavy after a tubal?

I had my baby in August but didnt get my tubes tied until the end of September and i got my first real period october 31 and it is really heavy like ive never experienced before and im having really bad cramps on the left side of my abdomen. I am soaking pad in an hour or 2..Any info would be great thanks

it can be normal to have some bad periods right after a tubal. if you are saturating a pad and tampon more than once an hour call the dr or go to ER immediately. also take some motrin800mg and sit down and put your feet up, it helps slow the bleeding down. i hope you feel better
