I set mine up as late as possible cause it takes me forever to take it down. I dont really get that into it like most. I decorate for Halloween like a crazy person, though.

It depends on the tree. If it's a fake tree, many people put those up right after thanksgiving or on the first day of December.
With real trees, there is the danger of the tree drying out before the holiday and causing a fire hazard. These should be put up no sooner than two weeks before Christmas and then check daily to make sure the tree has water.

Well, my mother obviously does things differently. I'm guessing she will probably have her artificial tree up sometime this weekend or next week. One year, when I was a kid, she actually had the tree up before Halloween! And getting her to take the crap down after New Year's is another thing too. She says she likes looking at it and doesn't care if it's January 20th or whatever. She's nuts. I would say the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Yes, my only rules on when to set up your christmas decorations are to 1. wait til after thanksgiving and 2. take them down right after new years eve

I finally talked my hubby into a fake tree a couple years ago. It looks so life like, you can barely tell. So we put it up the end of November. When we were getting the live tree would wait until about 2nd week of December.

I always get a live tree so I tend to wait till the 2nd week of Dec. if you put it in too early, by the time Xmas rolls around the tree is dead. Fake obviously can be put up whenever

we set up our tree the last day in nov but our tree is plastic so it dosent matter. but most people like the tree to be up the first couple of days in dec

usually after thanksgiving most people put them up. It all depends on you though. if your a really christmasy person then put it up about a week or so after thanksgiving
