Poppers are small bottles filled with liquid chemicals called alkyl nitrites. They were used at the turn of the century for people suffering from chest pains. Nitrites like Amyl Nitrite dilate the blood vessels and allow more blood to get to the heart.

Poppers (Amyl Nitrate) are a heart accelerant and can be used safely so long as moderation and an understanding of what they do is followed. Poppers accelerate the heart causing an increase in blood flow but also cause a mild delirium or high. The danger is that it can also cause a sudden decrease in blood pressure if you have any heart problems, thus it is not wise to use if you have a heart condition, are using Meth, pot or other recreational drug. I myself have used poppers, again in moderation, usually during sexual activity. Some people use it while on the dance floor, I personally find it irritating.

Don't use poppers. I'm gay, and I've never used them not a single time. I can't believe so many casual attitudes about the use of sniffing chemicals for recreational use. It's a chemical that was not intended for inhalation.Why use a chemical that increases your heart rate and your blood pressure? Don't listen to those who say it's safe.

Not really. I've used them a few times. They increase your heart rate & make your head feel like it's going to explode. Probably affects your blood pressure as well. They say in intensifies the climax, but that was not my experience. Be careful!

My response is the same as that of Jon X, but with one more piece of information: do not use poppers and Viagra (or any of that sort of medication) during the same time. They work against each other, and the consequences can be fatal.

Like any drug if used in moderation. Poppers can enhance your sexual arousal during anal intercourse to relax those muscles. They are still sold today in adult bookstores, gay bars and bath houses. If you chose use follow directions and be safe.
