In reality life starts at zero. Theres nothing wrong with the big 40 life is what you make of it. I decided wen I hit 40 that too much off my life had been wasted ( or should I say not full filling enough ) So I did something about it, you need to do the same or you will continue waiting. X GO FOR IT

Listen, whatever it is your life is lacking or whatever you want to do NOW is the time! You might think you are 'old' at 40 or nothing much is happening to you, but believe me, 40 is young! I hated being 40 and got depressed but now i'm nearly 50 i wish i was as young as that again! Don't waste time - it is the stuff life is made of!
Ps I found a new man at 45 and got remarried at 49!

Get out there Girl! I'm 46 and just went canyoneering and white water rafting for the first time- it was a Blast! My husband is 7 years younger and I drag him! and he's an ex-Marine! My children are old enough (and I raised them smart and polite enough) to enjoy and be part of the "gang" when we travel. Take advantage of your time- I am working a freelance job -a 40 ftx15 ft mural- next week- so we can ride with hubby to NYC in December while he does a business trip- Ive never been and Im hoppin on the plane- I've got a date with a girlfriend next spring for Vegas and rafting and a 4x4 ride- a long weekend thing, but she always wanted to go and has never been- so GO! Have fun! I lost 38 lbs and I'm not going back! GOOD LUCK-go gett em!

Ive heard that many people do not figure out what they want until this age. I am sure you will find something soon(some people take a little longer than others). Not everyone gets things given to them to start with or has that much money to not have to do anything at all.

Don't know what your problem is but I just turned 47 and my life is great. Still look and feel young. Still can cut it in the bedroom, still play music and sports. Get off the couch! life won't start at any age until you do something about it.
edit: I think my body is pretty good.

No point sitting around waiting for it start, it doesn't just automatically start, you have to get up and help it start! Try having a smile on your face, that automatically makes you feel happier and then your life becomes happier and people are attracted to you. Worked for me!!
