why do they make condoms and most people don't use them?

Before 19 the human brain has not developed the areas that control jugment. That's why teens behave as if they're invincible. If parents can have fun with and bond with their kids and save the kid from him/herself until 19, then the kid can think for him/herself much more effectively. Hands on parenting is at its most critical in the teen years, but unfortunately it's when parents let go the most.

In order to use a condom they have to acknowledge that they might be in a position to use it. It's easier to rationalize "making out" or "fooling around" than "going all the way". But if you're going to go all the way, plan for the possible consequences!

That's garbage, what someone said about condoms not being easy to get. If you want something bad enough you can get it. I think it's about planning ahead.

Many teens don't want to admit to their parents or teachers or other authority figures that they might have sex. And so they don't even admit it to themselves.

People wind up having unsafe sex because of lack of acknowledgement, poor planning, not being able to be honest with themselves and others.

If they don't plan ahead to do something somehow teens think that that absolves them of any blame. "I didn't MEAN to do it, it just happened." Not an excuse. Things don't just happen. Be responsible.

If you feel like having sex, stimulate each other manually (by hand) to satisfy yourselves temporarily.

Then go out and get some condoms! Hand jobs are good for a bit, but will probably lead to further experimentation.

Quit lying to yourselves and don't try to blame other people or circumstances.

I know lots of people who have used condoms faithfully, by the way!

And I'm not saying you should or shouldn't have sex. I'm not saying you have to tell your teachers or your parents if you are. But you don't have to lie about it either.

People don't exactly just hand them out to kids you know. Some don't even know how to use them correctly. Difficulty in buying them. In a small town a kid might not be able to get condoms without his or her parents finding out.

Their parents weren't strict enough with them and they never learned life's lesson about consequences. Too bad. What isn't learned the easy way is usually learned the hard way...if they are lucky to learn it at all. Responsibility figures into it somewhere, but a person who does not understand consequences is very unlikely to understand responsibility.

Parents are not teaching chastity. Its a moral issue now an issue of intelligence.

Parents will then be accountable.

Because they aren't that bright and don't consider consequences. Life-altering consequences.
