I thought it was really clever how Juliet showed Jack the tape but still spoke to Jack as if she were trying to convince him.

I'm not sure if I would a save Ben. Jack could make it look like he tried to save him but really kill him, and only him and Juliet would know the truth...tough decision!...any opinions?

This is from the show Lost on ABC. If you haven't seen the show, don't respond.

Ooh I thought that tape thing was really clever too! Jack reacted really well-if that was me I'd screw it up by just staring at the TV and shouting 'hey what's this?! this isnt the movie!' I wouldnt save Ben-Juliet said he was dangerous and he's so creepy anyway! I like her now, I didnt at the start but I suppose we still dont really know if we can fully trust her. for all we know she could just want to take Ben's place as leader. feel bad for Jack-it always seems that he has to make the toughest decisions. before he operates I think he should demand to see Kate and Sawyer to make sure they're safe. cant wait to see what happens next anyway! :D

But as much as Jack hates the Others, he's still a doctor and a good man first and foremost. I don't think he could kill another human being on purpose, even if he had the chance to make it look like an accident. I just don't think that's in him.

Sure he hates the Others. But I think he wants to hurt them, wants them to leave him alone, and if it's down to "them or me" type of situations, he'll kill only if he MUST (i.e., self defense). But he won't kill when he's got one of them lying on an operating table in front of him.

Besides, he could be of the mentality that if he does operate and save Ben, that Ben will now have that hanging over his head, that he "owes" Jack. If Jack operates and saves him, Jack has essentially helped him; Jack saved his life so now Ben has no right to boss Jack around. Basically if he operates and saves Ben, Ben now OWES him - BIG time.

I agree though. Definitely a tough decision....

Jack should not Ben. He should do what Juliet what she suggested on the tape. But then again it could all be a test to find out jacks ethics.

I wouldn't save him. But then if the characters did everything we wanted them to--like Kate running from the Others when she had the chance or Sawyer beating the hell out of Ben when he found out that the pacemaker story wasn't true--it wouldn't be the same intense show that it is.

At this point I don't think I would trust any of them, not even Juliet, I think that she is just testing him...
