Job Corps are a last resort. They will train you, feed you, and give you a place to stay, so you are ready to go out on your own. I know quite a few people who have went, but found if you have the ability to rent a room somewhere, get a job, and can attend community college partime or a trade school you will be much happier. You don't need to worry about being abused or anything, but they are very strick with curfues and such. Their training is also very entry level, so don't except to leave there and have a great career, though you will be able to work some where other than retail or fast-food.

So, if you don't have a way to find a long-term place to live go to job corp. However, it is only for those people without any other options.

I think it is great you are looking into bettering yourself and hope you find the right path.
