i guess you 're talking about when you type something on IE page, how do you get ur computer remember texts for next time. i dont remember with IE 6 because now i am using IE7, so i can tell you like this:
go to Tools ->Internet Options, go to tab Content, look at the Row Auto Complete, click to Settings, one table named AutoComplete Settings will appear. make sure all boxes are ticked (forms, webpage address, and username and passwords

what things are you talking about? your browser automatically recods your browsing habits, searching habits, remembers personall information like usernames and passwords when you login to an account like you have here if you click on the checkbox next to the login form where it says "remember me on this computer".

if you have a gmail email account and you are writing an email then your computer crashes gmail saves what you typed already as a draft so you can finish it when you log back on again.

I recommend that you download & install a free programme called Roboform from http://www.roboform.com/
It will remember usernames, passwords, login details & contents of forms filled in & automatically enter these details for you next time.
It does give you the option of choosing if you want something to be remembered or not.

it dependson where you're typing it. Usually windows will ask you if you want it to remember a password.

Click on Favorites, then add (on left) then ok. Next time you want it click on favorites and it will be there.
