eh... for me all I have to do is picture sleeping with a man or picture sleeping with a woman (when you are not horny or in the act of sex) in a regular situation and the choice is obvious. It just depends on whether you are only sexually/physically attracted to women and whether you would rather have a relationship with women than men. For myself I could never be with a man sexually or relationship wise (and never have) and that is how I know. I guess growing up I should have had a clue when all my friends had boyfriends and I never did. I thought I was asexual at the time because I didn't know any different. I didn't even know what a lesbian was until high school and now it feels as natural as ever.
Why do you think you are a lesbian? Could you explain more?

First of all, have you been with any women in a sexual way?? or are you just thinking you are based on how you feel when you look at women?
Just because you find a man attractive does not mean that you are bi. It means you can appreciate a good looking person of either gender.
Now if you fantasize about being with both men and women then yes, I would say you are bi. But if you think about women and that is what gets you arroused, you are a lesbian.
However, before you make a decision in either direction about your sexuality...ask yourself how long you have felt this way? Do you get turned on by men also?
And, above all else, go on a date with a woman and see where that takes you!
You can't know until you KNOW!

I thought I was a lesbian too when I was younger, it just turned out that it was because of my environment being in an exclusive school. After I left that school, it took me a couple of months to see that I was not that attracted to girls, than I am with boys.
I think one way of 'knowing' would be to ask yourself if you want to be in a relationship with a girl, and do all the romantic and physical stuffs with her...if the thought of it doesn't 'suites' you then you are not lesbian.

Wait in celibacy. Alot of people say "try it" and you'll see, but I think you can get your answer without risking alot and by thinking about it, discussing it with others- that is, if you care about your body, mind, spirit, and the other person.

Just follow what feels right in your heart and you will know. Sometimes it takes time to know for sure, so don't be in a rush, and you'll figure it out.

Are you attracted to females and only females? If so then yes, you are a lesbian.
If you ever catch yourself attracted to a male or thinking about one sexually then no, you're bisexual.
