Even though every movie or TV show we see has Tarzan as a middle aged man (miraculously clean shaven) the simple truth is that he was a teenager when he was discovered and taken back to England. He was not old enough to grow a beard and by the time he was he had been introduced to the civilized world and its customs.

Because it was the 50's and you couldn't have a bearded character on TV that you were supposed to trust.

Yea, that makes no sense. Because if he lives in the jungle, you would assume he won't have a razor to shave off his facial hairs. My guess is that he hasn't hit puberty yet.

Probably not enough added hormones in his all natural diet... possible that he hasn't hit puberty since he also has not underarm hair.
